Ana María Parra/ Export Coordinator/ GLC Inc 

Ana Maria started with GLC in February of 2022. Although having worked in the freight forwarding sector in Colombia for the last decade, GLC is Ana Maria’s first U.S.-based firm. In her words, “working for a U.S. firm the last ten months have been a great and rewarding professional challenge for which I am grateful.” Before starting with GLC, her previous roles included import/ export coordinator and account manager, both of which focused on improving and expanding customer relations. Along with approaching each challenge with a can-do attitude, Ana Maria believes that effort, discipline, perseverance, and passion for work are the secrets to achieving results. As for what the future holds for her, she would like to continue growing alongside GLC and believes that with the support of her leaders and colleagues, the possibilities are endless.   

Carter Rowe/ Warehouse Associate/ GLC Distribution 

Carter’s journey with GLC Distribution started in June of 2021 as a Temporary Employee. Due to His consistent performance and daily embodiment of core values, he was offered a full-time position after only six months at the company. In his current role as a warehouse associate, he plays a vital part in the daily operation of the Rialto, California warehouse. From pulling orders, offloading containers, shipping freight, and completing work orders, there is always something new to learn, which he cites as his favorite part of the job. In the coming years, Carter hopes to be promoted to a supervisory role within GLC distribution and eventually run the Rialto warehouse. This recognition is a big honor for him as having his development and hard work acknowledged throughout the GLC organization motivates him to continue to strive for more professional growth.  

Laura Sierra/ Import Coordinator/ GLC SAS 

A member of the Colombia team since April of 2022, Laura Sierra has proven to be a rising star in the organization. An experienced logistics coordinator, she thrives in stressful situations and enjoys ensuring smooth end-to-end transportation of her client’s cargo.  Before joining GLC, Laura worked as an export coordinator for an NVOCC in Colombia and also participated in an internship with a multi-National handling intercompany import. Providing her with all the skills required to thrive in her current role. Laura hopes to continue progressing in the organization, achieving goals and teaching others along the way, inspiring change and growth.  She finds the recognition validating and motivating and looks forward to continuing to reach new milestones.
