Air Freight Market Shows Early Sign Of Rebound

As we round out the first quarter of 2021, it is with cautious optimism that a return to Air Freight norms may be on the horizon.

A recent report from the International Air Transport Association ( IATA) described near pre-pandemic levels for the first time in January.

With the Covid-19 vaccination role out continuing to gain momentum around the world, GLC’s air cargo division expects to see an increase in capacity as passenger flights continue to come back online in the latter part of Q2. As capacity increases, air freight rates should begin to decline and routing become more flexible, providing much-needed stability in what has been a turbulent year for air cargo.
